The Villars Rando Festival is an annual event organized by the Swiss Association of Mountain Leaders (ASAM) and Schweizer Wanderleiter und Wanderleiterin (SWL), which will be held August 5 and 6, 2023 on the Place du Marché in Villars.
This year marks the 16th anniversary of the festival. The event offers hikes of different categories for participants of all ages, from families to sports groups.
The hikes will be led by experienced mountain guides and, for a particular hike, the expert photographer Julien Regamey will be present.
Julien Regamey is a professional photographer specializing in mountain photography.
He has worked for many prestigious brands, agencies and publications, and has also published several photography books.
Julien Regamey is known for his ability to capture the raw beauty of nature and create stunning images that showcase the majesty of the mountains.
He will be present during a special hike organized within the framework of the festival, and the participants will have the opportunity to meet him and discuss with him.

The festival also offers a village where visitors can enjoy entertainment, concerts, exhibitions and practical information.
The ticket office will open in June with preferential rates until July.
Tickets can be purchased online, at the Villars Tourist Office or on site on the day of the hike if places are available.
The hikes will take place in all weathers, but the guides will offer alternatives adapted to the weather conditions.
The prices for the hikes vary according to their duration and category, ranging from CHF 5.- for children to CHF 25.- for adults.
Visitors can also enjoy a stay at Chalet Royalp & Spa during the event.
Pets are not allowed during the hikes, but are welcome in the festival village.
For tickets, cancellation insurance is available from Infomaniak to insure participants against unforeseen circumstances.
Festival hours are 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday August 5th and 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday August 6th.
Hours for the information chalet are 9am-6pm on Saturday 3rd September and 9am-2.30pm on Sunday 4th September.
